In the concert of the Finnish Sampo Lassila Narinkka will be heard a special trio with their own, original suomiklezmer -style. "Suomi" -meaning Finland in Finnish.
In its music Narinkka-trio bakes the old jewish worldmusicstyle into a special, Finnish cake – the feeling in the Narinkka’s music is distinctively slavic and Finnish , sentimental, rugged, somehow touchingly honest, but suddenly almost scaringly strong, without forgetting the Finnish humor.
It would be too easy to call this music just neoklezmer, the idea is much more open. The musical multicultural heritage in the Finnish urban environment is the root idea of Narinkka’s music. Interestingly between the eastern and western Europe, the Finnish cities have had their own quite special mixture of musical cultures.
The phenomenom Suomi (“Finland” in Finnish) is not superimposed on the traditional style, but painted faintly and organically inside the style, without forgetting Finnish melancholic and heartwarming humor.
But, ultimately, Sampo Lassila NARINKKA’s acoustic music is really based on that very special moment, when a listener and the musicians can really connect in music, in human music. So, be welcomed to come and share the moments of music with Narinkka!
