Course on Icelandic Folk Music and music from other countries

The main topics of the Folk Music Academy in Siglufjord will be the different types of Icelandic folk music, including ordinary folk songs, rimur songs, tvisöngur (two part organum), folk dances, psalms and folk music arrangements. The course also includes lectures on folk music from other countries, given by artists visiting the Folk Music Festival in Siglufjord wich will take place at the same time.
